New Work From Alfred University

I was fortunate enough to have been called back to Alfred by some graduate students who wanted me to photograph their artwork. Here is a small sampling. As always, the exceptional caliber of work being produced at that school continually blows my mind.

Which Way?

ryansZoomIn

(This piece is by Ryan Hinkel)

Ryan showed me this piece yesterday, and I love it. I like how it all comes together in the end- that you learn the images are zooming out, yet the perspective and scale still seem to flitter back and forth, making the images seem unrelated and incongruous. I also love the satisfaction of, once figuring it out, starting from the bottom and going back up, zooming back in, trying to decipher the areas that are depicted.

And Another Amazing Dance Piece...
