so this one time, i was traveling in an '86 ambulance converted to run on vegetable oil...this was with my band robot attack...it was the summer of 2003...it was the best summer of my life...we stopped in a lot of places east of the mississippi...i took this picture at a rest stop somewhere in florida...



fast forward 4 years....it is 2007 and it is autumn...i have traveled quite a bit across these united states of ours....and i am on tour again...covering vast distances, becoming familiar with so much....i have been in every one of the 48 contiguous states except for oklahoma (how have you eluded me, lovely shape?)...here i am in florida again....we stop at a random rest stop...something seems vaguely familiar....i take this picture...



look at that tree...look at that light post...look at the concrete shape that cuts into the grass...

they are, indeed, the same place...
